Them Before Us

Post by Nicholas »

A new book supporting Dhamma's traditional father-mother families. The gist is putting first what is good, long term, for kids, not what adults desire. Often a radical motive nowadays.

Here is their movement link with the same name:

A concise summary of the book:
"Faust and Manning will take you on a comprehensive and heart-wrenching tour of the damage done to kids when adult desires are privileged over children's rights to their own biological mother and father. But they won't leave you in the ruins. At the end of each chapter, they'll offer practical suggestions to begin rebuilding a culture that prioritizes kids' best interests. Read Them Before Us, and be ready to do the 'hard things' adults must do so that children won't have to."
Mark Regnerus, Professor of Sociology, The University of Texas at Austin

This book is going to tell you:

•Why we will never achieve any level of social justice unless we first secure justice for individual children.
•Why mothers, fathers, and stability are the three macronutrients in a child’s social emotional diet, and what happens to society when our children are malnourished.
•Why every departure from the married-mother-father household is, at its core, a threat to the rights of children.
•How divorce, same-sex parents, sperm/egg donation and surrogacy, and adoption impact children.
•How failing to protect the rights of children turns back the clock two hundred years in our quest to defend human rights.
