Swastika, NY

Post by Nicholas »

This tiny town showed some gumption when a NYC visitor demanded they change their town name. It has been the town name since 1800s, long before Nazi use corrupted the meaning of this sacred symbol:

The Swatsika is an ancient Indian and Buddhist symbol that has it’s roots in deep positive Spirituality that dates back since time immemorial.

If used at the right time and place with respects to the victims of war, whom suffered during a time when the symbol was blasphemed and used by the wrong people, the symbol can be healed. But it shouldn’t be stopped from being used in Buddhism or Sanatana Dharma by any means, unless there is a moral or personal reason or choice to do so. That is just my opinion.

The swastika was used all over, beyond India, and it was always a sign of goodness.

Here is southwest USA the natives carved or drew it in petroglyphs dating back many hundreds, perhaps thousands of years. It has been found in Ukraine 18,000 years old.
