Not sure, I think it might be from general teachings, not a specific one.
I remember a story of when Munindra-ji was in India with some of his Western students. They went to the market and Munindra-ji was haggling with a vendor about the price of peanuts. One of the students was shocked and asked him something like "aren't we supposed to live simply?"
Munindra-ji responded, "I said live simply, not be a simpleton."
